Frightening both the mantindanes and the saucers.
You, impisi, are the friend of the warriors and those
that walks through the night
Strange creature that purifies the whole land
Worshipped alike by the great gods.
The amagonga, and by men and women
You laugh in the night as you leave
You deceive with your voice saying,
“I am going over there”,
When in fact you are about to enter our villages
Hyena, many are those who despise the
appearance of your face
Many ate those who call you a coward
But you are a friend of warriors
You are a purifier of battlefields
You are a purifier of feasting grounds
where both the tooth and the spear have eaten their fill
Bayete, animal of ancient times!
