This position involves national travel and the ability to work in multiple African languages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design practical training programmes tailored to each organisation
  • Guide organisations in developing sustainability pathways, including funding and partnerships
  • Facilitate workshops and mentorship in relevant African languages
  • Translate organisational concepts into simple, accessible tools

Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience supporting CBOs/NGOs
  • Extensive experience in organisational development and sustainability planning.
  • Skilled facilitator with adult training experience
  • Ability to work in multiple African languages
  • Understanding community dynamics and social cohesion
  • Ability to travel nationally

Evidence of relevant experience is essential.

PART-TIME POSITION
Are you passionate about using digital tools to create social impact? Khulisa works with fledgling NGOs across South Africa, many based in deep rural areas, where access to local funding is almost nonexistent. These NGOs are tackling urgent community challenges but lack the equipment,
connectivity, and training materials needed to deliver on their promise.

We’re launching a crowdfunding initiative to help these NGOs raise R20,000 – R50,000 per project—providing the tools they need to serve their communities effectively. We’re looking for a part-time Crowdfunding Lead to design, manage and grow these campaigns. This role involves crafting compelling stories, managing campaigns on platforms like BackaBuddy and GivenGain and driving donor engagement.

You bring:
 Fundraising/crowdfunding or digital marketing experience
 Excellent writing and storytelling skills
 A passion for social justice and community upliftment
 Ability to work independently and deliver results
 Bonus: experience in the nonprofit or development space

About the project

Khulisa Social Solutions is implementing the EmpowerAbility Programme to strengthen grassroots Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) in Musina and Blouberg. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops
  • Support 8–10 CBOs in these areas
  • Conduct basic monitoring and evaluation
  • Assist with dialogue circles and community activities
  • Submit regular field reports and liaise with local stakeholders

Requirements

  • Matric (tertiary qualification preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in community work
  • Strong facilitation, admin, and communication skills
  • Based in or familiar with Musina or Blouberg
  • Proficiency in local languages (e.g. Tshivenda, Sepedi)
  • Valid driver’s licence
